The XP COMP & Ported Pistol – Ambi Thumbrest Edition represents the pinnacle of XP performance—a Custom Shop build created for shooters who demanded the absolute flattest and fastest version of the newly released XP Comp. Even before the XP Comp officially launched, customers were asking for a ported variant. Many also wanted integrated ambi thumbrest gas pedals for enhanced recoil management. This Custom Shop model delivers both.

Built on the XP platform—a 1911-based double-stack system compatible with Glock® 17 magazines—this edition combines Fusion’s threadless compensated barrel system, four top slide ports, and bilateral gas-pedal thumbrests to create one of the most controllable 9mm wide-body pistols ever offered by Fusion Firearms.

Engineered for Extreme Control

This model incorporates everything from the Ported Edition plus a major upgrade:
Ambidextrous thumbrest gas pedals, positioned on both sides of the frame to give shooters maximum leverage, superior recoil mitigation, and faster shot-to-shot transitions. These gas pedals are machined to integrate cleanly with the XP frame while maintaining full 1911 ergonomics.

The four precision-cut top ports work in tandem with the integrated compensator—secured with Fusion’s proprietary pinned, threadless system—to vent gas upward and stabilize the gun under rapid fire.

Custom Shop Fit & Finish

Constructed entirely from bar-stock steel and aluminum, the pistol is CNC machined, hand-finished, and coated in Tenifer® QPQ, offering unmatched corrosion resistance and longevity. The slide features aggressive pro cocking serrations, forward cuts, and the XP porting pattern.

Optic-ready capability includes Novak® compatible sights, a removable rear sight plate, and an included RMR/SRO mounting plate.

Great firearm at a fair price

I picked up the chrome xp comp thumb rest model at our local gun show yesterday. I took it for a test run in the afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it shoots. Soft, accurate and fast. Mounting plates for rmr and rmsc footprints were included. Trigger is very nice, short and crisp. Grip grippy, I like it better than the xp pro. Factory Glock mags are still a little tight. I feel like they’ll loosen up with some use. Grip angle takes a little getting used to for me, probably more comfortable for Glock owners. Slide is smooth and slide fit is very nice. For the price point of this pistol, it’s hard to beat. Thumb rest are a huge plus for me, just makes the pistol very comfortable to shoot and stay on target shot after shot. I have no regrets on this purchase.

XP Comp & Ported

I love my XP Comp & Ported 9mm!!! I’ve got around 500 rounds through it, but will be putting a lot more down range soon. I highly recommend this gun! I just put a gas pedal on it. Excellent gun, excellent company!!!

Insane

This pistol runs flat. I actually had the opportunity to shoot a Staccato XC the same day I first shot the Fusion. The Fusion seemed to have ran flatter and felt better to me. I was so impressed with the pistol, I plan on ordering the ported/comp version. Thank you for the exceptional pistol. You all need to get some patches going.

Xp pro comp & ported

Absolutely fantastic! Fit and finish is amazing. Great looking firearm. Picked it up Wednesday, shot it at range on Friday. The slide is buttery smooth, ports are awesome! It is straight out Flat, no recoil or kick. Just a joy to shoot! Very pleased with this beautiful firearm!

My first DS1911 and I got the PERFECT example the first time!

I've wanted a DS1911 for a long time but never could pull the trigger on the high-priced examples that are out there! I'm also a HUGE fan of thumb rest/gas pedals that are built into the frame and that was also a reason why I never purchased any of the other guns that were out there. As soon as I saw that as an option and saw all the positive reviews, I knew I had to have one! Boy, I'm glad I did! I've shot a Stacatto XC and I don't think that they're any better than the XP Pro Comp that Fusion built for me and that I shot my first 100 rounds through recently! Fit and finish is as good as it gets, and this gun is a SHOOTER!! Easy to shoot holes clean out of your target, even when you're shooting rapid fire! Way to go, Fusion Firearms!! You're setting the bar high!!

Trigger should be better

So I got the gun from Fusion. Ported and comped. Shoots flat but the trigger is pretty bad outta the box. Too much pre travel and mine is 4lbs!!! How can I Incompete w it if it has a 4 lb trigger? anyway I’m putting in a red first F1
Trigger that should get pull down to 2lbs and remove that creepy pre travel

Awesome

Great shooter and feels real good in the hand. Picture shows black ambi safety and mine has black on L side and same color as finish on R. No big deal just something I noticed. Again, AWESOME shooter.

Simply amazing

So in October of 25 I was introduced to the original XP Pro by a buddy of mine and needless to say I was impressed and I went to my local gun store and bought one. Later that night I went into Fusions website and noticed they were coming out with an updated version that happened to have a comp on it. Well, I pre-ordered it and I just received it today. I mounted my Trijicon Rmr on it and went to my backyard to test it out. It ran flawlessly and is a really flat shooter. The one thing that bugged me with the Gen 1 version was the slide release, I use a fairly high grip with my support hand and the slide would fail to lock back. Anyways, that's completely fixed for me on the Gen 2 and I couldn't be happier. It's not often you find a company that truly listens to it's customers like Fusion Firearms does! I'm a customer for life.

Very smooth running pistol

Recieved my preorder today, packaging was perfect. I put 10 rounds through it without lubing it.vvIt ran fast and flawlessly with barely any recoil. I was running 124gr Blazer. Plan on comping it with 147gr Jelly shots non comped.
