The XP COMP – 9MM – Bronze – Thumbrest Edition was created after some customers requested an XP Comp variant with integrated thumbrest gas pedals for enhanced recoil control and faster follow-up shots. Built on the newly released XP Comp platform, this Custom Shop model adds ambidextrous gas-pedal thumbrests to give shooters superior leverage and a more competition-focused grip—without adding additional ports or modifying the slide design.

Based on a 1911-style wide-body frame and designed to accept Glock® 17 magazines, the Thumbrest Edition maintains all the advantages of the standard XP Comp, including its advanced threadless compensated barrel system, crisp one-piece steel trigger, and precision CNC-machined construction.

Enhanced Control With Ambidextrous Thumbrests

The dual thumbrest gas pedals allow shooters to anchor the support hand more aggressively, providing:

  • Reduced muzzle rise

  • Faster transitions

  • Improved recoil management

  • Superior support-hand indexing

These thumbrests are integrated cleanly into the XP frame to maintain full 1911 ergonomics while offering enhanced performance under rapid fire.
