This 1911 build kit is perfect for those who want to build their own 1911 pistol. The kit is based on the original 1911 Series 70 Colt design with a 3.25" Defender Configuration and features a solid bar-stock officers frame and defender length bar-stock slide. The kit is available in either 45acp or 9mm and comes complete with all necessary parts, including a reverse plug guide rod system, a target crowned HD-chrome moly bull barrel, a classic commander ring hammer, a beavertail grip safety, Novak compatible sights, an extended combat thumb safety, and a rounded butt of frame and mainspring housing for added carry comfort.

The frame, slide, and barrel are precision CNC machined from bar-stock, ensuring superior accuracy and performance. The single-sided thumb-safety and beavertail grip safety are standard, as is the lowered and relieved ejection port for improved performance. The beveled magazine entrance, traditional 70 series design, and traditional commander hammer are all designed to be compatible with standard Colt style replacement parts, making it easier to upgrade or customize your 1911 pistol.

This is a "build it yourself" 1911 kit, and some fitting and tuning will be required. However, the kit is designed to be beginner-friendly and only requires small hand tools such as a hammer, pin punches, and possibly files/stones. Shipping to an FFL is required for the serialized frame.
