Works Great & Helps With Accuracy

This beavertail safety easily installed on my standard Government Model 1911. Make sure you read the disassembly and reassembly instructions first. I was blessed in that it went right in. It was simply a matter of replacing the part. For me personally it seems to help with an increase in accuracy and a slight reduction in felt recoil. When carrying cocked and locked and practicing a draw, my hand no longer hits the hammer tip on occasion. I personally never have had a problem with hammer bite in a standard 1911, but the beavertail safety is more comfortable and has helped with accuracy, probably due in part to a better grip.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I was impressed with this product. Got this for my Rock Island GI with the GI spur hammer. Installed easily with no modification needed and passed every function check. There is a small gap between the frame and the safety but I knew this going in, being my EDC I want too concerned with the looks. Definitely took the bite out that GI models are known for. Great product and great company. Quick order processing and shipping. Will be ordering from Fusion Firearms again.

Put this on a 1944 A1, didn't have to change anything and now I don't get hammer bite on my fat hands. Probably needs a little filing to work as a safety, who knows, grip safeties are dumb since I don't ride a horse, so I left it alone.
