Gunsmith Finishing Pad. This is our Medium finishing pad. These are very handy to smooth the scratches out of brushed polished stainless steel surfaces. Also used for surface preparation before finishing such as Black oxide treatment. For stainless , you general start with this pad and work your way into out Fine and Extra fine pads hand rubbing with the grain of the material to remove scratches and bring out a nice brushed polished look. I LIKE TO USE THE MAROON COLORED PAD TO RUB WOODEN RIFLE STOCKS & MOISTEN WITH A FEW DROPS OF "LEMON OIL FURNITURE POLISH" TO CLEAN, SMOOTH, & BRIGHTEN OLD, FADED WOOD FINISHES. THEN PROGRESS TO THE GRAY & FINISH WITH THE WIHTE. HAVE USED ALL GRITS OF THESE NON-METALLIC ABRASIVE
