These are high quality forged 80% 1911 frames available in Government, Commander, & Officer sizes. They are available in 4140 Carbon Steel or 416 Stainless steel with a variety of options thereafter. All heat treat processes have been completed on these parts. These frames have a 0.250" radius tang cut. As these are not completed frames this item will ship directly to you without requiring FFL transfer. All machining services requested will be completed prior to shipment. Please allow additional time for machining services.

Series 70Finish is beautiful, checkering is exactly aggressive enough.
Now then.. Nowhere in the description (unless I'm dumb and couldn't find it) is it specified whether this frame is a Series 70 or 80. I assembled an early '80s Colt MKIV parts kit onto one of these frames, and had to delete the Series 80 plunger from the slide to make it fire. I'm not upset, just something to keep in mind.
I also had to file the *side* of the slide rails inward. They could be made too wide on purpose to get a tight hand-file fit, it's just more work I wasn't planning on doing. Again, not upset because the finished product is just gorgeous.
Magwell is a little tight for my '80s Colt mags but everything else dropped in without incident once machining was complete.Posted on
