1911 BUILD KIT - 5" GOVERNMENT GI

The Fusion Freedom Series Government GI Model 1911 Build Kit is a true testament to the timeless design and exceptional craftsmanship of the original 1911 Series 70 Colt pistol. This build kit offers a unique opportunity for gun enthusiasts and hobbyists to build their own classic 1911 pistol from the ground up. The kit is based on the Original 1911 Series 70 Colt design and features a 5” GOV, GI Configuration, making it a perfect choice for those looking to build a traditional-style 1911 pistol.

One of the standout features of this 1911 build kit is its all-steel construction, with no plastic parts. The use of high-quality steel ensures durability and longevity, making this 1911 pistol a reliable choice for generations to come. The kit also comes with Mil-spec style 70 series sights, which are precise and easy to use. The frame, slide, and barrel are precision gunsmith-fitted, ensuring a tight fit and outstanding accuracy. The frame, slide, and barrel are also CNC machined from bar-stock, which is a process that guarantees accuracy and consistency. The slide has a military-style design and the barrel is finished in black oxide, with a 1:16 twist, making it easy to clean and maintain. The positive barrel lock-up allows for superior accuracy straight out of the box and the tuned Power style extractor ensures smooth operation and reliable function.

The traditional 70 series design of this 1911 build kit is compatible with standard Colt style replacement parts, making it easy to customize and maintain. The arched mainspring housing provides a comfortable grip, while the black oxide finish gives the pistol a sleek and professional look. The 191build kit has a weight of 38.73oz without the magazine, making it a comfortable and manageable size for most shooters.

The Fusion Limited Lifetime Warranty offers peace of mind and assurance that this 1911 build kit will last for years to come. Shipping to an FFL is required for the serialized Frame, and some fitting and tuning will be required, but with the proper tools and a little know-how, you can build your own superior 1911 pistol. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced builder, this 1911 kit is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and create a beautiful and functional piece of firearms history. With its classic design, all-steel construction, and premium features, the Fusion Freedom Series Government GI Model 1911 Build Kit is an excellent choice for anyone looking to build their own 1911 pistol.

  1. Nice! Get some grips too!

Tyler and Trevor (? I think) were great to deal with, both in initial and follow on emails and actual ordering on the phone. The parts kit arrived quick to my FFL and not only thouroughly oiled but separated into small ziplocks with the slide and frame each being separated.

Up front, my only complaint is on the product page. In one place (obvious, but I missed it initially) it says "no grips." But in the parts list it does list grips as included. They are not. So make sure you have some plans for grips.

This was my first foray into 1911s. I've wanted a GI-ish model (retired Army) and when the CMP came in real high (out of my budget) I started snooping for other sources, coming across Fusion a few years ago. I've built/rebuilt ARs, a couple BAs, and Glocks. After becoming an internet certified expert (haha) I dove in. Looking at the parts, some of the "common" things to modify seemed to be done already (not looking to go crazy... yet). The assembly was anticlimatic, everything went together perfectly (...minus grips). Function check was fine. Hit the range for a quick 100rd "break in." Not sure if it really needed a break-in because it was so smooth. 100 mild reloads downrange, no issues. Did shoot "mad max" style w/o grips. Those arrived today and look beautiful. Look forward to doing business with Fusion again.

Anyone out there thinking about this kit? worried about what you may need to do to get it to work? Don't, get the kit, go slow. I'm happy with mine.
